Description
Engineers may cause heartburn on the jobsite, but they likely have the toughest job of anyone in the design & construction process. Their work spells the difference between success and failure, life and death of a structure and its occupants. Ever wonder why they specified such a tight tolerance for the rebar? Do you occasionally suspect that a masonry structure has been overdesigned by an engineer? This course will help you understand the principles of structural design, and how to recognize a good engineering detail from a questionable one.
